

Jason Fish, MD
Chief Medical Officer
Jason Fish, MD, leads a network of more than 7,000 independent and community providers within the Dallas-Fort Worth area. He oversees the medical operations of the physician network and ensures patients receive the highest quality of care.
As a practicing physician within the SWHR network, Fish brings a unique perspective to his position. He also serves as an associate professor in the Department of Internal Medicine at UT Southwestern Medical Center, where he specializes in general internal medicine.
Certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine, Fish joined the UT Southwestern Medical Center faculty in 2011. Previously, he served as Chief Quality Officer and Deputy of Chief Medical Informatics Officer – Ambulatory throughout his time at the organization.
His research interests include value-based models of care delivery, quality improvements, clinical decision support and informatics, preventive care and chronic care management.
Fish earned his medical degree at the Weill Medical College of Cornell University. He performed his residency in internal medicine and completed the Robert Wood Johnson Clinical Scholars program, earning a master’s degree in health services research at the University of California, Los Angeles, and a second master’s degree in healthcare organization leadership from the Jindal School of Management at the University of Texas at Dallas. He is a member of Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society and the American College of Physicians.
